Just a Little Blush - PND Challenge

Hello my friends!  I cannot believe it's the beginning of February already!  2014 is racing by!  It's time for another 'Anything Goes' challenge at the Paper Nest Dolls challenge blog. The challenge starts today, 2/3 and runs through Friday, 2/14 and all winners will be announced on the blog Sunday, 2/16.

I'm always looking for something new to try.  I see so much stuff in video's on youtube I need to make a list and keep it handy.  I saw a video on Amy Rysavy's website 'Prairie Paper and Ink'.  She made a card with an image that she only colored blush on the little girl and put a shadow under her feet.  You can check see Amy's post here.

Here's a picture of my card using the digital image 'Love Strung Ellie'.  I just used a little bit of blush (R00 and 0) to make the color on her cheeks very subtle.  Then I decided to add a little bit of color (R20) to the heart garland.  I had used C3, C1 and C0 for the shadow under feet and then I turned around and cut her out so you barely see any C3.  The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the paper is from Authentique. The sentiment was die cut from an old QuicKutz die set (I can't remember the name). I think this is the shortest list of supplies used I've ever had.

Here's a close up just in case you wanted to see what 'No color' looks like...hee hee!

We're offering to one grand prize winner (randomly selected) a $20 online gift certificate for the Top pick when a Paper Nest Dolls image is used in their entry.  One free digital image each for the Top 3 randomly selected entries (not required to use a Paper Nest Dolls image) will be given as well. Check out all the cute images at the Paper Nest Dolls online website and store HERE.

Remember you have until 2/14 to enter your creations on the Paper Nest Challenge Blog HERE.  I can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you again!

  1. That is really a nice change from the traditional! I've seen that look before, too, and I've also wanted to try it. The card layout is just fab, and the flowers are all exquisite. Wonderful job, Heidi!!
