Uncle Sam Wants You!!!

Hello my friends!  It's time for another royal challenge from The Scrapbooking Queen!  I hope you join in!

The Scrapbooking Queen runs a monthly challenge. If you go to the challenge blog HERE, you can download the IMAGE and check out what the design team came up with.  Every entry in this challenge has an opportunity to win the 'Royal' prize pack from the Royal Castle Shoppe BUT.....if you use our image ...you get ANOTHER entry for a second chance to win.  And we all know that TWO is better than ONE.

As with all of our other challenges you can make any type of project you'd like (i.e. card, layout, altered item, etc.).  So put on your creative hat and join us.

Here's a crazy thought too.....print an extra copy of the image and have your kids color it as well.

Here is my entry for the challenge.  Doesn't this cute little pup make you want to sing 'He's a Yankee Doodle Dandy....'?
I've colored this image with my COPIC markers and used some simple dies to make this clean and simple card.  I love the red, white and blue ribbon I've had in my stash for a while.....I finally get to use it!  Very simple inside finish to the card as well.

You have a whole month (ends 7/29) to create and post a link to your project.  Thanks for stopping by and I can't wait to see what you create.

Move Over Wilma Flintstone!!!

Hello my friends!  Hope everyone has a great start to their first week of summer!  It's time for another Paper Nest Dolls challenge.  This one runs from Monday, 6/23 and run through Friday, 7/4.

For this challenge I'm using 'Cave Girl Ellie' - I just love the zebra print dress and the bone in her hair.  Move over Wilma Flintstone - there's another cave chick in the quarry!  Because I wanted to color her dress black and white I figured the rest of the card would include hot pink.  Who doesn't love hot pink, black and white???
I colored her with my COPICS, used a cloud template I have with my distress ink and sponge dauber.  I also used a grass die from Lawn Fawn and a flattened out paper straw.  The flowers and buttons are from my stash.  The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's "Critters on the Savannah". This card is also an easel card which makes it really easy to display.

Here's a close up of Ellie...

Now for some housekeeping - We're offering to one grand prize winner (randomly selected) a $20 online gift certificate for the Top pick when a Paper Nest Dolls image is used in their entry.  One free digital image each for the Top 3 randomly selected entries (not required to use a Paper Nest Dolls image) will be given as well.  Winners will be announced on the challenge blog on Sunday 7/6.

Remember you have until 7/4 to enter your creations on the Paper Nest Challenge Blog HERE.  I can't wait to see what you create!

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you again!

Bravo Grad - PND Challenge

Hello my friends!

Well, it's time for another challenge at The Paper Nest Dolls.  This 'Anything Goes' challenge starts Monday, 6/9 and ends Friday 6/20.

It's graduation season so today I'm using an older PND image (available in rubber) called 'Graduation Owen'. I always seem to use one of the PND girl images (Avery, Ellie or Emma) so today I'm giving Owen some love!  He's colored with COPIC markers and the papers are from Simple Stories Snap Color Vibe paper pad.  The 'Bravo' is from a Hero Arts stamp set called 'Yay!'....how appropriate!!!

Here's a close up of Owen...

Winners will be announced on the challenge blog on Sunday 6/22.
