Make it Monday Challenge #121 - Colored Vellum Flowers

Hello my friends!  It's Sunday evening and the weekend is winding down.  Weekends go by so fast I wish we could work a 2 day week and have a 5 day weekend!  The weather in the Midwest is finally acting like it's supposed to - it was a nice, warm sunny weekend!

Every Monday, Papertrey Ink has a challenge called 'Make It Monday' and I love the techniques they show each week.  I decided to try my hand at one of them.  This week's challenge was coloring flowers on vellum.  Now there's nothing like waiting until the 11th hour to finish and enter the challenge but as long as my entry is there before 7am in the morning I'm golden!

Here is my card for the challenge.  I used a Simon Says Stamp called 'Flower Friend' for the flowers and a sentiment from Papertrey Ink called 'Think Big Favorites #6'.  My papers are from the 6x6 pad called 'Memorable' from the My Minds Eye 'Collectible' collection.

Other supplies used are: 1 1/8 circle punch, corner rounder, Doodlebug Twine, clear dome gems and Stickles in a variety of colors (one to match each flower color) and the flowers are colored with COPIC markers.

That's all for now.  Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you again soon!

Sassy Cheryl's "Guy/Boy" Challenge

Hello my friends.  This is the second post for me today.  The first post is for a blog hop for a group called 'Crafty Chicks'.  You need to check it out - there's also a giveaway.

This card is for a 'Guy/Boy' challenge at Sassy Cheryl's.  This image is called 'Noah's Prize Pumpkin' and he's just adorable.  I used Flower Soft 'Autumn' on the leaves - it's such a fun treatment for a fall card.  I love the colors as well.  The papers are from Bo Bunny 'Forever Fall' 6x6 pad.

It's a short post tonight but I hope you enjoy the card.  Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you again.

That's it, easy peasy!  Once you've left a comment on all the blogs, click 'Did It' on Rafflecopter at the bottom of this post.  You'll be able to enter additional entries as well - we have a fun scavenger hunt for you - we have hidden a crafty 'chick' in one of our project photos.  Leave a comment in Rafflecopter telling us where you found our hidden 'chick'.

Okay, now that all the necessary housekeeping duties have been done....on to Crafty Chick's first HOP and the theme for June is WEDDINGS.

You should have come to me from Megan's blog HERE,

My project is a bridal shower invitation.

I cut a circle out of Eclipse Masking tape and placed it in the center of the card as a mask.  Using the 'Flower Friend' stamp set from Simon Says Stamp, I used a variety of Hero Arts Shadow Inks to stamp flowers all around my cardstock.  I stamped the champagne glass and greeting in the center once mask was removed.  I then die cut and stamped the banner, rounded only the bottom right hand corners, offset my layers and attached some black satin ribbon.  The glass got a nice coating of Glossy Accents to give it some shine. I finished the card with a few clear gems for sparkle.

Supplies used:
Stamp sets:  'Flower Friend' (Simon Says Stamp); 'Home Sweet Home' and 'Harold's ABCs' (Lawn Fawn); 'Hubby & Wifey' and 'Salutations' (Paper Smooches)
Hero Arts Shadow Inks:  'Tide Pool'; 'Pale Tomato'; 'Butter Bar'; 'Soft Leaf'; 'Wet Cement; 'Soft Canteloupe' as well as 'Momento Black Tuxedo'
Miscellaneous:  Glossy Accents by Ranger, satin ribbon, clear gemstones, corner rounder, adhesive, Eclipse Masking tape

From here, the next amazing designer in the hop is Krysthle and you can find her blog HERE.

If you're having a good time with this blog hop make sure to follow us on our blogs, Facebook, or any other social media the designers have set up.  Also, please feel free to share with your friends.

Thank you for joining us on our first ever Crafty Chick's Blog Hop!

Sassy Cheryl's 'Pinkalicious' Challenge

Hello my friends.....hope all is well with everyone.  It's the first week of June and the temperature in SE Wisconsin is back to 62 degrees.  One day I can wear short sleeves and sandals and the next day it's a sweatshirt and sneakers!

Today's card is my entry for the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog  .  If you haven't checked it out you should.  Cheryl creates the cutest little characters - there's Sally and her pup Bella, Noah and Charlie and her newest additions, a brother and sister named Max and Maddie.  I just love the images.  The challenge this week is 'Perfectly Pinkalicious'.  And since I love the color pink, I have to enter.

The image I chose is called  My Favorite Kind of Weather.  This little sweetie is Sally and the furry cutie is Bella!

Thanks for stopping and hope to see you again soon!
