Princess Sweet Pea

Happy Monday everyone!  I have another inspiration card for Paper Nest Dolls.  I'm using the image called 'Princess Sweet Pea' and isn't she just the 'sweetest'?  Gotta love those bunny slippers!!!!

I thought I would do a card that folded a bit differently than your standard card.  I think this type of card is called a Joy Folded card.  The focal image is on a separate piece of card stock and the edge hooks under the sentiment to keep the card closed.
Then when you open the 'inside' of the card this is what you see...
Here's a close up of the image which I colored using COPIC Markers.  I used Glossy Accents on the heart in her crown and on the pearl she's holding (which I just realized should probably be green like a pea...oops!).  The polka dots on the pillow have Black Diamonds Stickles on them.
Here is a list of the markers used:
Skin:  E04/E11, E21,E00, E000, R20
Hair: YR14, YR15, E15, E18
Dress: V28, V25, V22, V20

Pucker Up!

Hello my friends!  Happy Monday!  I have an Action Wobble inspiration post for you today.  I know Valentine's Day was on Saturday, and I hope everyone was able to spend it with loved ones, my project today uses a fabulous stamp set from Technique Tuesday called 'Pucker Up'.  How can you resist a huge pair of lips?????
While making Valentine's Day cards for my boyfriend I had made an extra watercolor background that I used for this project.  I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks in  'Seedless Preserves', 'Picked Raspberry' and 'Peacock Feathers' to create it.  The lips were stamped with Simon Says Stamp 'Doll Pink' ink and the sentiments were stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  Sequins are from Doodlebug.

The Action Wobble is placed behind the lips and had to be cut down in order to fit.  Here's a shot of the wobble in action.....
Here's a close up of the watercolor background and the lips....

Paper Nest Dolls Spring Release

Hello my friends!  Happy Monday to every one!  I have a treat for you today.  Paper Nest Dolls has a new spring release featuring eight new images.  You can check out the new release HERE.

I used the image 'Egg Coloring Avery' and actually made my card an egg shape.  I tried to make the card look like the egg Avery is holding.
I colored the image with my COPIC markers (see list below).  The designer papers used came from an old paper pad from Little Yellow Bicycle called 'Hello Spring'.  The colors were just perfect for Easter.  Here's a close up of Avery...

Set of Thank You Cards - Action Wobble

Happy Monday everyone!

Today I have a post for you from the Action Wobble inspiration team.  This set of three 3x3 Thank You cards use an action wobble behind each of the focal images.

The stamp set is a retired set from Stampin' Up but I like the variations of 'Thank You' sentiments. The card bases are just 3x6 pieces of dotted swiss card stock folded in half.  The other card stock is mostly from my scrap stash.

Thank You - PND

Hello my friends.... it's a snowy, cold day here in the Midwest.  But what a wonderful day to stay inside and make my next challenge card for The Paper Nest Dolls.  The new challenge starts today, Monday, 2/2 and runs the entire month.

I've colored the image "Garden Avery" with my COPIC markers.  I used an older paper pack from My Minds Eye called "Howdy Doody" from the Miss Caroline collection.  The flowers are from Prima flowers and the die cut is from My Favorite Things (MFT) Die-Namics.  The flower centers have 'Black Diamond' Stickles and the sentiment has a coating of shimmer from a black Wink of Stella pen.
Here is a close up of Avery:
Don't forget, the top winner will receive a prize pack varying each month and to be considered for this prize you must use a PND image.  The prize this month is a $20 gift certificate to The Paper Nest Dolls shop (check it out HERE).   Add a direct link for your project to the challenge blog  HERE
