An Old Favorite Revisited

Hello my friends.....I have something new on my blog today.  I used to cross stitch way back in the 80's and I haven't picked it up in a while.  I got the urge a couple of years ago and started a small project, but that flame burned out as easily as it was ignited.  But.....sometime in March I was bitten by the bug again.  I had done a project for a friend about 20 years ago using an alphabet that I loved.  I lost the chart in my move from FL to WI.  I was surfing the internet and one day I happened to be looking at the website '123 Stitch' and to my amazement I found the chart that I had lost.  I ordered it and in the middle of March got back into cross stitching with a vengeance.  I am really enjoying it and have several projects planned for the near future.

I would like to show you the project I started mid-March and finished 3 weeks later.  I am going to have it framed and given to my boyfriend for his birthday....
The chart is like a vintage type of alphabet - it's really cute but not too juvenile.

Luckily my name is one that lends itself well to 'signing' my work - I can spell out 'Heidi' instead of just putting my initials....
I started my second project the beginning of April and I've been taking photos of my progress.  I will be adding the pictures to my blog in upcoming posts.  I hope you enjoy seeing them as much as I enjoy working on them.

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you again soon,

Heidi

  1. How incredibly darling! I used to cross stitch all the time. My flame burnt out when the twins came along in 2002.
